Candlemaking TipsBlended paraffin was already has all of the additives in it for candle making, so it is the choice of most candle makers. Paraffin wax is the most commonly used in candles. Pure paraffin wax is difficult to control and needs additives in order to hold the candle together. Simply heat the wax and pour it into the mold until it completely cools. Cut the wick several inches longer so that you can tie it to a pencil or other object. Prior to pouring the wax into the mold you will need to insert the wick from the bottom of the mold. Candlemaking AdviceMake sure the finished product doesn’t have any burning issues with the wick or bubbles. You will have to experiment to find the methods that work best in your work environment to make the candles you want. It is suggested that you only make a few candles at a time to keep from wasting money on supplies while you are learning. You can use fragrance oils and essential oils in ways that will enhance your living space and can contribute to your good mood. You can also use herbs and spices in your candles for scent.
